Weaving with Nature Workshops

An opportunity to spend the day experimenting and weaving with a range of natural materials, create your own wooden weaving loom/frame, then weave using a variety of materials such as wool, fleece, cotton, linen, raffia, nettle and grass to produce interesting, textured and colourful woven shapes. Complete your woven piece by decorating with feathers, shells, stones, seeds etc.
This workshop aims to teach you the basics of weaving with natural materials for you to acquire enough skills and confidence to continue weaving at home.
All materials and equipment are provided. If you have a frame loom and/or yarn, fleece or other natural materials that you would like to use, you are welcome to bring them to add to your project. This workshop is suitable for beginners.
